Well, the week is here when the annual Manning meltdown is held in Foxboro. I'd love to have the confidence to predict a Pats win, but this is going to be a tall order. We need an Indy dumbass to come out with a "ripe for the picking" comment or Seymour to get healthy asap.

Nick Kazcur is going to have to be ready for a tough time against former Syracuse thug Dwight Freeney for the Pats to knock off the overrated Colts.

Should be a fun week.

The Pats are gonna need a lot more than BB material to have a chance in this game.

You know what my favorite philosophical quote is?

"Those who deny history are doomed to repeat it".

If Indy played the Patriots schedule and were 7-0, I'd be impressed. To me, Indy will always be the same old pathetic Colts. We'll see if they can get it done on Monday. My guess is Indy finds a way to lose once again, but this is their best (and probably) only chance to win a game in Foxboro.

you're right. they'll never play again:confused:

Not today, maybe next Monday

Haven't watched much on the Colts this season (blowing out poor opponents 40-10 every week hasn't caught my interest), but the Pats better figure out how to protect Brady against the Indy pass rush or the're in a lot of trouble. :hump: (Freeney on Brady next Monday)

My suggestion would be Corey Dillon left; Corey Dillon right; and Corey Dillon up the middle. Rinse and repeat. When is 3rd-down specialist T Brown coming back anyways?

Getting Seymour back (since he said he would be ready for the Bills game, he should be really, really ready for Indy) will help everyone of the D-fense. Getting Bruschi's warm-up game in last night shouldn't hurt either in stopping Edge (who's having a monster year - contract year???).

Oh yeah, and the safeties might want to figure out who's got what deep half of the field. :thwak:

Should be a good game this weekend. Im not going to get too excited about blowing up your secondary because thats what we were supposed to do in the playoffs last year. Didnt exactly work out that way. Corey Dillon could present us some problems but our D has done a better job this year against running backs.

Im interested to see the scheme they come up with on the defensive side of the ball. As a Colts fan it is good to see every team we play (except the Titans) try to do what N.E. does defensive wise. This way we get some work against that type of D and it is not mass confusion when we walk into Foxboro.

Some things I am sure of is this game being overhyped, Manning v. Brady debates and Spinal Tap calling everybody pussy

Annihilus doesn't care who you are, that's pretty funny right there.

Judging from past experience here, it's my thought that instead of the 3-yard-and-a-cloud-of-dust approach, it will be the 3-step drop-screen-draw approach for the NE offense to try and negate Freeney. Worked well in the 2003 AFCCG and the 2004 opener. And I also believe that the matchup to watch won't be Freeney/Kazcur, but rather Mathis/Ashworth on the other end.

Now on the other side, to me (and to many of you from what I can tell) the best way to attack the NE defense is exploit the Wayne/Starks matchup. Eventually NE will have to roll a safety to help, which will free up Stokely deep. But those are just my thoughts.

While I may not know the Duke of Athol personally, I have graced a number of River Rat(hol)(e) races in my youth. Now, I wander the earth, bestowing my simpleton Pats wisdom ala Caine in Kung-Fu. sosad

Oh....like rolling a safety is going to do them any good. The way the Pats secondary has been playing, it's probably not going to matter much who Peyton throws the ball too. He should be able to take his pick of those three very capable wideouts. Stokley always seems to burn us for a few big ones, and it sure won't surprise me if it happens again.

With Edge having the year he's having, it could get real ugly real quick (though admittedly the Pats run defense should hopefully improve with the addition of Bruschi.

The best way to attack the Pats is to run the ball ala Carolina, San Diego, and Denver. Wait for the safeties to creep up. And then go deep. Rinse and repeat....this might be a little harder now with Bruschi and a healthy Seymour.

Indy's got the offensive weapons to do it...now if only we don't see the "Peyton Manning face" sometime in the 2nd quarter, Indy's got a shot. The Pats secondary has been much worse than 2004 b/c of the absence of Harrison.

Okay... So the Pats haven't looked stellar and some might be thinking that the Pats don't stand a chance against the Colts.

There are plenty of reasons why I think the Pats can win, and two of the biggest are....

1. Houston scored 20 on them.
2. Cleveland's D held the Colts to 13 and Jax's D held them to 10.

Now, the Pats haven't resembled the Pats of old, recently but even though they're playing ugly I'd still put them at least a couple rungs above Houston, Cleve, or Jax. And if those teams were able to do what they did then the Pats should be able to do better.

Yes, those are pretty asinine reasonings but hey, somewhere, you have to admit, I do actually have a somewhat reasonable point. :p

Every year the Colts are SUPPOSED to beat the Pats and every year we bicthslap them back to reality.

This year will be no different.

I for one, am not too worried about this game.

Same old story, same old song and dance.

Pats will win. Colts fans will cry about the refs. Yadda yadda yadda.

Who cares about football?

I met Tom Waits yesterday.

He told me the Colts were gonna win.
