Via the Associated Press, Irsay has purchased Ringo Starr’s first Ludwig drum set via auction, for the prices of $1.75 million. (Some accounts have the winning bid at $2.2 million.) Irsay already owns guitars previously owned by the other three members of the group: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and George Harrison.
“Finally, after 45 years, the Beatles are together again,” Irsay told the Associated Press via text message.
Meanwhile, Irsay soon could be giving his head coach and/or G.M. the Pete Best treatment.
