Yes, I’m going to see this. Anybody else or are you just focusing on turkey and then Christmas?

I'm absolutely taking Jo to see this the day it's released even though somehow she finds little enjoyment in the original. But we are both 80s babies with her sometimes trying to fan the flames and rekindle the fire of her golden youth, long lost.

I saw the original at a theater in Brockton, MA in 84 I thinkk with my best friend in youth Mark. He has since grown to the incredible heights his engineering mind and good view of the world always promisesd him. A career which is no such thing nor any sense of drudgery as he follows his passion in robotics at MIT and beautiful and long and well earned wife in her dream setting, their home, almost an estate in Carlisle, MA.

In service of those memories and great hope for the future we will be going opening day to reenter Ralphie's world and hope to once again revel in the wants, wishes and imagination of a youth so many have lost.

"Oh, come on guys wait for me. I can't get up. "

Absolutely me. I love the original. My son got me the lamp one year and Christmas ornaments. My favorite ornament is the box the lamp came in and it says the various saying for the box. I have the movie. Every year on TBS they play the movie for 24 hours on Christmas Eve into Christmas day. I know my family is tired of it but still gonna watch and enjoy.

This has always been one of my favorite Christmas movies. Right up there with Christmas Vacation and Elf. I was a little worried when I first saw that they were making a sequel but it looks like they just might do the original some justice. 🤞
