This has got to be one of the more spectacular screw ups in all of television history. It's a beautiful train wreck that will live on for ages.

The only thing that would make that better is for Steve Harvey said hey Colombia you actually lost sucker!!!!!! ROFL

I have to say that the gamut of human emotions displayed by Miss Phillipines, from the WTF? to "did I really win?" to "go on smile and wave autopilot" to the end of her walk where she looks like she genuinely feels terrible for Miss Colombia, all make me wish I were young enough to date that woman.

Well, that and the fact that she's smoking hot ... wuv

As far as Steve Harvey goes, it was an honest mistake, alright, and good on him for cowboying up and taking the rap, but ... after a gaffe of that magnitude, do you think he'll be back next year?

My bad. I should have given credit where credit was due. The Internet exploded with memes after his blunder. That came from this Twitter account.

I looked at that profile, and ... poor guy ... his net worth is only $100 million ... :sulk:

Not that I think Harvey planned it, but, he's a comic by trade. I bet he gets plenty of mileage (and adds to that net worth) out of this gaffe.

I think the director was wise to show Miss Phillipines' approach from behind (settle down, Piggy). I mean, that minute or so where Miss Colombia had to wait for Miss Phillipines to get to the front of the stage again had to feel like decades. I'll have to watch again to see her facial expression while they are taking the crown off her head.

I wonder if there's a Bogota cartel putting a contract out on Harvey right now.

Based on how Miss Columbia was reacting, I got the feeling that she didn't speak English and had no clue what was happening.

I thought the same thing about the Cartel :shoot:
 
There's one thing left to make this whole ordeal even funnier: a scandal that would have Miss Philippines have to resign, and the 1st runner-up has to replace her as Miss Universe #predictingest
