I thought it was impressive, but the guy's arm rotting away started to get to me. It's the same director (Darren Aronofsky) who made The Wrestler & Black Swan, but those are kind of his lighthearted comedies compared to this. Mother! is supposed to be pretty intense too, but I haven't seen that.
