Astaires light tenor voice some how seemed perfect by such great songwriters as George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Burton Lane, Frank Loesser, Johnny Mercer, Cole Porter and many others and they often approached him to debut there songs on stage or in film. Today I have Cole Porter on my mind, and "I Concentrate on You" is one of my very favorite Porter songs.

Just watched "For A Few Dollars More" again. I did a little digging; I hadn't realized that the use of Tucumcari in that movie is an example of a "prochronism." Tumcumcari didn't exist in the time period in which that movie was set.
And segueing madly, A fistful of dollars is an english redo of akira kurosawa's masterpiece, Yojimbo as the Seven Samurai became the Magnificent Seven.

Going to work and coming home I listen to coast to coast. Tonight ian punnet ( guest host) had the Cowsills on.

this song brought back a memory i have maybe when i was around 10 or 11 years old on a family vacation at camping trailer grounds somewhere in PA.
Met my flower girl there, she was from Ohio. Sucks I can't remember her name. But I remember coming home and this song was playing on the car radio.
I loved that vacation.

Great western tho, no? I knew Sergio modeled his first after the Japanese artist (thanks BT for posting the comparison btw) but I didn't know he copied so much scene for scene.

For a Few Dollars More was his first original screenplay, as was The Good, Bad, & Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West - all super classics and the western was never the same.

Song: Indian Song
Artist: Drivin' N' Cryin'

If you liked Circlin' (a few posts above this one) you'll probably like this, too.
