She escaped today. Which was actually a good thing. She is the one we are donating to the kids' school as a raffle prize tomorrow for their Fall Festival. We were worried her momma was going to attack us when we got her. My husband only got half way done welding the cage we were making for it.

So in the effing bath tub she goes!

So cute!!! My brother's fiance's family has a pet pig. Poor thing has fat rolls that cover his eyes so he is always walking in to things lol But they let it out like the dog to go to the bathroom. It's so funny. Imagine having a great dane AND a pig in your house?

Cute. How much bigger does he get?

Must be a pot belly, no?

Are you raising them to feed you and your family? Or for show?

Between him and the dog, that's some serious mass!

The dog comes up to my chest when on all fours lol Enough said. But she is a big sweetheart of a dog. They have done a great job teaching her not to jump on people but she did do it to me once when I got her excited and well I almost went down for the count! LOL

At first it was to feed, with 2 sows. Then we got a boar and decided to breed them. It worked, now we are thinking about going full charge with it. FFA and 4H are such a huge thing here, but no one really breeds their own. Maybe a couple, but I think they're kids are too old now and they stopped.

You can make some serious bank. Our pigs have great blood lines and they can go for about $250 each during the right time of year.

I've had several live pigs in my bathtub:coffee:

She's cute. I'd like to call her "smoked shoulder"
I love pigs, I'd keep them as a pet if they weren't so d@mn yummy.

My sister is on a subsistance farm in Vermont, and she makes a habit of giving the animals names that tell you what they're for. Like her first two pigs, Hansel and Gretel. Her most recent cow was Sir Loin.
