This is the most consistent work by Maroney on a drive for a long time now.
There was some analysis by folks on the other forum, a couple who seemed to know a little about WR play, that pointed at the rookie being in learning from your mistakes mode on this play.Short Round on 12-31-2006 at 01:49 PM said:Yeah, didn't Jackson get nailed on that play last week, too? There could be a tell in the formation, though.
It was a rule that Polian wanted "re-emphasized" after they played the Jets early in the year, I think. Should've been 12 men on the field, but that crying loser strikes again.Denism on 12-31-2006 at 01:53 PM said:Hey Guys, was that a dirty play by NE or was it an Accident??
Actually, this is one that is in response to the Colts who used to do this a lot to opposing defenses. Jets burned the Colts on one like it that didn't get called and had Dungy's panties all bunched. :LOL:Short Round on 12-31-2006 at 01:53 PM said:Ugh, another Polion-rule.
He's had an issue with his mechanics all season, there is an intermittent hitch.ladypatsfan on 12-31-2006 at 01:54 PM said:Brady is off today.
Gotcha. The end result was the same, though - Polian crying.Box_O_Rocks on 12-31-2006 at 01:56 PM said:Actually, this is one that is in response to the Colts who used to do this a lot to opposing defenses.
