it is November, I am not into full panic Sox fan Mode yet

Definitely.

But usually I can perceive 2 or 3 possible directions they might be headed. I'm a bit in the dark as things stand right now. I certainly think they can still bolster the team and even improve on it from last season. But I think to do it, they'll be making some contradictions in terms of what they've preached as their "organizational philosophy" by doing so.

For folks that think they're not paying attention to the Sox and paying attention elsewhere, I promise you - the Red Sox are their cash cow. They are more aware than anyone that last year was a down year in terms of fan interest. They have top men working on it.
