RIP

...and poet. An amazing man with an amazing heart.

The Baron is heartbroken. Cohen was huge fan of Cohen. When I just want to sit back, with a bourbon on the rocks, contemplate, or think of nothing at all, and sometimes when I go to sleep, I slap on my Cohen playlist and just listen to nothing but him and the sound of the ice in my glass..

Cohen's music was sort of a reflection of my soul.

These are my two favorites.

RIP Brother Cohen.

Thank you for all your life's work that enriched my life in the lonely hours and days.

EDIT: Cohen's "Democracy", as a poetic reading...

All began 50 Years ago with Suzanne. Great right out of the gate.

I always had his music around.. my rocker friends never listened to him and I always listened to it when I was alone driving or whatever.

When he turned 80, he decided to start smoking again: "Quite seriously, does anyone know where you can buy a Turkish or Greek cigarette?" he asked earlier this week. "I'm looking forward to that first smoke. I've been thinking about that for 30 years. It's one of the few consistent strings of thoughts I've been able to locate."

As much as I may hate to admit it- I've been thinking about firing up an unfiltered Camel off and on for the last several days. Quite smoking 22 years ago.

Was those and Luckys when I smoked.

Wow. Days of old. Tried em all. Camel Luckies Chesterfield and those long guys, pall mall (listed from most hard core on down). When I was a kid, Dad was Luckies and Mom was Chesterfield.
After sucking on those things for six years at nearly 3 packs a day, I walked away Cold Turkey in 1972 at age 24. Thank God. If not, I'd be dead now. No question in my mind.

Cheers
