I'm very proud of my oldest sister who is a big proponent of eating locally grown foods and shopping in local, small businesses (my family does this as much as is prudent, but not nearly on the level my sis does). I viewed a commercial for this just a few minutes ago and thought it was a great idea:

Support your own local economy - farmers' market, restaurant/pub, shop, etc.! :toast:

On my agenda for Friday! What a great idea.

Been doing this as much as possible for as long as I can remeber.

I have a fishmonger
2 different butchers,
Go to farmers markets,
Grow my own (PLANTED GARLIC TODAY)_!!!)
Sausage guy (Karl's sausage kitchen, route 1 Saugus - been there for decades - go - it's great),

Let's all list our favorite local businesses'

Van Otis Chocolates
North Andover

Thwaites English market
Methuen, = In the mid nineties they had 5 Generations of Thwaites working in store all at once . Specializing in English lard crust meat pies (pork, steak & kidney, sausage. Plus great home made sausages. And other English fare

I'll do more later

Cheers, BostonTim

75% of the businesses here on the Cape are local, so support them I do :thumb:
