Doesn't it seem odd that BB chose Nordin? I would have expected him to go with the reliable kicker in Folk. But must have been afraid to lose Nordin on waivers. Folk could be kicking against the Dolphins. And BB gets to test Nordin for a few weeks. Why did they keep Folk?
 
Is it that during the regular season the players don't have to pass through waivers to go to the practice squad?

Edit: I guess they can be active for a game and remain on the practice squad. So that probably means that if you want to put an active player on the practice squad, they must clear waivers.

Nordin has more upside long term. Folk is very dependable however.
