Last night our town had a scheduled power outage that was supposed to last about 6 hours. Turns out it was only like 4 hours. But this video immediately popped in my head.

They were adding an additional transformer to the power grid so they had to shut the power down for a little bit.

That's outages due to mis-management. I think @Alk wsasd referring to scheduled maintenance to remedy an issue or improve service.
