In my lifetime, hands-down it's Switzer.

But I'll throw another name out there to perpetuate the discussion: Dick Vermeil.

I agree Switzer won with Jimmy Johnson players. HE sucked after that season.

Why has nobody mentioned Tom Coughlin? He did a good job in 2007, but otherwise has sucked pretty bad. He always looks confused, like a squirrel who can't find his missing acorn.

After reading the title and not entering the thread the two names that popped into my head were Billick and Ditka. Forgot about Switzer and Seifert...good ones. Caldwell is the best thing to happen for Dungy's reputation as a HC.
As for Mikey Mac, I love the guy. He's old school, he and Thompson dumped Favruh, and he took a team with 15 guys on IR to the SB. Has that ever happened before?
He was smart enough to fix his defense by hiring the right DC too.
