The 2019 NFL Draft Round 1 Thread

are these "fans" they show when each team pics legit? looks like a casting call for "people who try way to hard to draw attention to themselves"

When was the last time Pats used a first round pick on a WR?

Kurt Warner thought that he reminded him of Larry Fitzgerald. That would be sweet if he is anything like him!

Interesting, pats took a player that does not have two bad knees or cancer and is a position we actually need. I'm confused.

So after Day One the Offense as currently constituted looks like:

TB

JE, Harry, DT

ASJ

Sony

With a stable of RBs and Gordon on ice.

I'm suspicious too :coffee:

they will probably trade him by tomorrow for 3 punters and a 7th round pick in 2028

Well, leave it to the Pats to draft the only WR in the draft with no thumbs.

If Terry Glenn were 6'3" 230.

No.

I was answering who the last 1st round WR was.

Was Sony Michel chosen with the 32nd pick? I hope lightning strikes twice!
p.s. Irving Fryar was the 1st overall pick in 1984. If only the Pats had a winning program back then, Irving may have helped lead them to a Lombardi trophy along the way. I think this new receiver will be just fine-good attitude, hard worker, and hopefully he studies his playbook and watches enough film. Meanwhile, the Patriots definitely need a wide receiver. i mean, it was one of their top needs. Really, watching the SB, there were practically no catches from a wideout other than Edelman. And as tough as he is, he isn't getting any younger. I've watched highlights of the new guy, Harry, do pretty well from the slot.

The Huddle Report had Harry ranked 24th overall and the #1 WR in this years draft.

I guess I should re-phrase my question.

When was the last time BB picked a first round WR?

I thought Branch but as it turns he was a second round pick.

Anyway, I'm excited for the rest of the draft!

He had never till today. 1996 was the last and it was Glenn.

I looked through about 5 or 6 ranking sites, and he was anywhere from 20th to 34th. Only real negative I read, was if he was fast enough, but I heard that about Jerry Rice too,.

Maybe when he traded for Andre Rison on the Browns... :coffee:

Did anyone have him on their board? Ideal Pats pick.
