Week 6, Broncos @ Patriots

Pretty cool though that the NFL Covid is setup for this kind of mess. Two practices over two weeks. Yeah, this isn't going to be a recipe for disaster for any team.

Cam didn't play his best game. It seems all of the sacks were due to him expecting to get 5 seconds in the pocket.

He should definitely have less confidence in this group of pass catchers every getting open. Just take off.

And the NFL needs to figure this Covid thing out. Competitive advantages/disadvantages when teams aren't able to practice doesn't make for a good product.

Newton becoming a statue in the pocket killed the offense with bad sacks.

D was good enough but O was shit. They had some good excuses but that doesn't take away the sting of losing to the dumpster Broncos and going 2-3.

Yeah I expected a better showing against denver, especially with Gordon out, I didnt think it would even be a game. If you told me denver just kicked fgs and lock had two picks I would have said we won by 20

Yeah. Me too. Horrible game. Can't ever remember the Pats getting dominated like that all game save for the last 8 minutes when Denver tried to give us the game.

Awful coaching:

Brain farts on not taking the hands to the face and pushing them out of FG range.

Not challenging the bad spot for a first down.

Going for two when there was no reason to do so.

We will struggle every time we play a good defense I am afraid.

It's the Patriots this week. No big deal to NFL probably enjoy it

Ok thats why they had 9. Was not watching the game just on gamecast, thought they missed the extra point. Yeah you dont go for 2 there, you get the 1 and then you are down by 8. Only go for 2 when you have to.

Lot of first times in a long time. From Reiss:

"
The game marked the first time the Patriots didn't score a first-half touchdown at home since Week 4 of the 2016 season -- a 16-0 loss to Buffalo in a game Jacoby Brissett started with Tom Brady serving a four-game NFL suspension.

Sunday's loss also marked the first time that a Belichick-coached Patriots team didn't win when not allowing a touchdown. Including the playoffs, they had been 39-0 in those games."

This team plays hard, and the D will keep them in most games. Hope none of the injuries are serious.

Now that Brady is gone, we are unfortunately going to see a lot more of these firsts. :(

Yeah, maybe the amount of sacks Brady takes is less than Cam, but the amount of balls thrown to the stands would quadruple.
Better in the stands than to the other team.

I don't think last year's edition of TB pulls this one out either.
Last years Brady had over 4100 yards passing and 3 to 1 td to int ratio. It was not near as bad as people make it. The only way to have lost this game was exactly how we lost it. Turnovers and bad sacks. We won 12 games last year. I dont know who would have won what, but its a reach to say that. We lost to much better teams than denver last year and beat teams that were like denver. We need to stop this, what would Brady have done stuff. Its a different team this year.

Why? Because the WRs and TEs can't get open. Jules is on a pitch count, so James White may be the best receiver on the team now.
