Really though, Dallas is much more talented.
Talent wins.
Is McCarthy an idiot? Yes. Is BB better than him? Yes. Does it matter, no.
You need talent in the NFL, or a QB like Brady. BB Could care less about talent. He wants guys who think like him, and it’s a problem.

I don't know how they are doing it, and I'd like to think BB comes up with new looks/schemes, but that can only go so far. I'm impressed the took bucs and 'Boys to the wire/OT, but most of those games I was waiting for it to turn. Brady scoring on his last three possessions (Or was it 4?) and cowboys late in the game and OT moving pretty much at will (or maybe it feels that way?).
O-line and pressure on the QB has to improve
I'm glad they "get up" for these big games, but don't forget last week they played (way) down to the Texans and almost lost.

I think they can continue to grow and I expect the next 6 games to be more like 4 - 2 vs. 2 - 4 (not even sure who they are playing and don't care based on what they have shown in these big games, just have to close the deal). maybe last 5 games will be 4 - 1? who knows.
 
We can talk about everything else all night long.
But, if the OL can't give the QB 2 seconds, then what chance does he have?

Sorry, JMD coughed up his nuts running on 1st and 3nd in OT when he HAD TO KNOW THE D WASN'T STOPPING DALLAS.

Sorry for the caps.

He knew the D wouldn't be stopped but he would rather the D lose the game than call an aggressive series to win the game.

Mac was 14 of 21. He had enough time to throw. Josh didn't have the balls.

It was fucking OVERTIME.
 
Mac attempted 13 passes going into the fourth quarter. You are not beating many teams with that game plan. I would like some coach to please answer WHY this coaching staff does not trust Jones? It is getting to be ridiculous at his point. He was on fire in the first quarter and then they just go away from the seam routes and any passes over 15 yards.
 
An objective view is that we took two of the best teams in Football and pushed them all the way. Both games, chances to win. For a team that's rebuilding with a rookie QB, it's impressive in many ways.

But we are not a top tier game and we shouldn't have come close here. They had 500+ years on us and the Cowboys killed themselves with penalties and stupid coaching.

But we're getting there. We do have an exceptional young QB who will take us far. And BB is still coaching at a very high level. There are players there who are a concern, Agholor again, dropped a crucial catch. Mills was poor. Mac is still trying to get the connections with his receivers and TEs.

The run game was very good and Stevenson has to be given more snaps. Harris was excellent. When we get the O Line back healthy it will make a difference.

We're making errors at crucial times still which we have to correct.

If you watched the game, the real problem would be obvious to you, rather than what you just wrote.

dallas is usually one of the more talented teams in the league.dak has been a great qb for years.
coaching makes the difference. their oc did a tremendous job.

Agreed. They (Dallas) weren't being stopped in OT and we won the toss.

Why is Josh playing NOT TO LOSE?

Looked pretty cowardly to me.

the way they have to win right now is grind em out football. possessing the ball and not letting an offense like dallas' on the field is a good strategy. unfortunately they weren't able to do that and the d was on the field a lot. and again, the ol is a MESS. if you don't see that pass to bourne as a sign "they trust him", i am not sure what else to say. 🤷‍♀️
