SUPER Wildcard Weekend Game Patriots @ Bills Gamete Thread - Saturday 8:15 PM

Herron better have the game of his life, because it appears that putting Onwenu at RT and Brown at LT seems like a no-go unless they're keeping it close to the vest.
I would love to know why.

Um, until a team beats them for the division.

LOL. You do realize that when Tompa Boy is gone and the Bucs suck again for 20 0years you are never a Patriots fan again, don't you?

Bills crying for a dome because their QB can't play in weather yet they scream and shout about how tough he is. You can't make this shit up. :ROFLMAO:

Maybe if they get a dome they can sell out a playoff game?

You have it backwards. My Patriot fandom will be in full blossom once Bill leaves.

We have complainers about our OC, mostly when we when we lose.

LOL. I have been pretty consistent with regard to my feelings on McD win or lose. During the games or after them.

But NOBODY can question my love for the Patriots. I don't think you are, but for the Bills and Bucs TROLLS we have on here.

In fact, not being a 100% homer 100% of the time across many regular long time folks on this board is what separates it from the Bills boards where it is "WE RULE!!!" until after the game when it is "WE SUCK!!!". I am looking for improvement for MY TEAM.

It's hard to have much confidence in the Patriots heading into this game considering how poorly they've played since coming out of their bye. However, the disparity in quarterback talent is what sets the teams furthest apart at this point. Allen is bigger, faster, stronger, more mobile, and has a much better arm. Allen also has better receivers. I don't think Jones will surpass 150 passing yards in this game and his Y/A will be under 5. The Patriots will have to rely heavily on an effective run game and defensive turnovers for this game to be competitive.

I am not a big fan of McD either. He can call some great games, but that is the real problem. He is one of those guys that calls just enough good SEQUENCES that he gets to hold on to his job and be thought of as really good, when he is really a bit above average. Could I call a better game, probably not, doesn't mean I can't see the problems with the play calling. I am so tired of seeing pass/rush all the way down the field and everybody in the stadium knows it is 2 runs then a sweep or screen to Bolden on third and 7 or more inside the red zone. Bolden surprises everyone by puliing them off at a decent clip, but crunch time? That is not a bad scheme except when you call it 90% of the time or more.

I certainly would not even think of questioning your love of the Patriots.
I just have a different prospective on play calling vs players execution of the plays that are called. If a play is called, the the QB can opt out of that play depending on the defensive look he sees at the LOS. Even a rookie like Mac has that option.

I knew you weren't and thanks.

It certainly is a combo of game plan (fast/average/slow start), play calling and execution. No doubt. We only have a few set plays on my hockey team, but they exist for reasons and I only use them when I think my boys can be successful (execute them). The ultimate goal is always to win the game. I wonder if that is the same for McD? He has aspirations and guys that can bring QB's along get jobs. I think he is torn sometimes.

I think McDaniels has done a good job as the OC this season. He's made the most of Jones despite some clear limitations (in particular arm strength). He's also done a great job with the running backs. Harris in his first full season as a starter has been terrific. Stevenson has been a versatile and mostly reliable #2. Even Bolden has thrived since taking over White's role. I'm not sure what else could have been asked of McDaniels. I think some of the conservative approach that worked against them at times likely stemmed from the HC.

Lol. Tell me you understand that you do not get to dictate to another their fandom, who they root for or when for that matter.
First, I wasn't talking to the Jills troll, I was talking to the Tompa troll.

That said, fake fans are fake no matter what they claim. That is the nature of being fake.

And that could very well be. Either way it has been awful too often. You only need to see draw plays to Bolden on 3rd and 18 from your own 44 down 17 points in the second quarter once...

Ok, that I do have an issue with that. The amount of work that coaches put in to getting ready for a game is huge. And it is all done for one goal and that is to win that game.
Do you think that BB would keep anyone around, for one minute, if he even suspected that the coach had any other agenda other than to win the game ?
