Yes, I'm sure it's gotta be tough to go from working for yourself to be on someone else's clock. But you're right, it's a tough time to be picky on when and where you work (unless you've got oodles of dough in the bank).
I should be good for at least this calendar year, as we are scheduled to get in our next tranche of funding at the end of this month. Working for VC backed start ups can be fun, but also a bit nerve racking at the same time. If this place doesn't bear fruit, then I might have to get out of this business and look for an industry that is a little more solid.
That being said, no industry is solid nowadays is it? I just heard today that Yankee Candle is laying off over 300 people and will stop selling directly to consumers. If over-priced candles can't maintain healthy profit margins, then we are all in trouble!
