Mayo Press Conference 1/17/2024

That presser was awful and didn't bring even a glimmer of hope that this team will be competing for a SB any time soon. I'll watch them play on Sundays but I don't expect to see anything remotely close to what we saw prior to 2020.

Bob Kraft himself said that wasn't true, out loud, in front of microphones.
He said a few weeks back as well when he said Bill was only given full control after the 3rd SB win! In other words, Kraft's default position is to be a meddling fucker who was forced to relent only because the HC oversaw a dynastic 3rd SB win in 4 years.

They fired one person.
That one person was the GM and HC. They have put a new structure in place at the top with Jonathan. Now we wait to see who Mayo hires or retains as his assistant coaches. It is a complete reset. A new approach ...

RESPECT!!!

Somebody send this to Mayo!
Bowles IMO is misguided here. He takes offense to a question that was meant to bring unity and identity and he used it to criticize the reporter and miss a great op.

that question was either a lollipop,a lazy one,or designed to trap him. he handled it like i'd hope any adult would. all the better because of his race.

no you are misguided here

he should have said like: "Get the F out here w/ that question" --- or bettah still

"I'm on to Cincinnati"

GD press ahoes

That press conference was a big load of fluffy nothing. No info about shit except touchy Feely culture bullshit.

I'll feel a little better if the Belichick boys are retained. Even one of them. But not much better. He is going to have a lot to prove.

I would like to see Steve stay. I think he and Mayo have a decent working relationship and he was calling the plays last year.

it was worse imho. It was borderline unprofessional. There had been zero thought into it, RKK seemed surprised that reporters were asking about, you know, the future and the GM issue. He seemed surprised that people noticed Jonathan wasn't there. And then you had bizarre things like Mayo commenting on RKK's font size on his paper with his speech, which RKK seemed utterly confused with. The 'Thunder" stuff which was odd, RKK saying he knew Mayo was the one when he was with him in Israel? WTF?

Zero concrete, well thought out answers to any questions. It was really odd. The questions would not have been a shock; they were softball tosses from local reporters. Yet they had no real answers.

And then they wait till after the presser had finished to almost casually announce that Glazer was now EVP of Football Operations and a senior advisor to the Head Coach!!!

i like how thunder pretended he couldn't hear the question about jonathan which was really why wasn't he there at bb's presser AND this one. he then didn't answer why he wasn't at bb's 🤦‍♀️

The entire organization has been shielded from most of this stuff by BB for decades, they are is for a really rough time, and not just on the field.

watching total access from last night (nfln). judy battista asks mayo "you've never even been a coordinator. what gives you the confidence to step into this position?"
he says "we're not big on titles here".
lol after saying everyone will be titled now. is he claiming he was dc and bb never gave him the title??
