Sorry but that just dosen't get it done. You said that the "CORE" payers on defense were already there when B.B. took over the team. They clearly were not, and it was moves by B.B. in both the draft, F.A. and trades that put thoses players in place for not only the Super Bowl wins, but he the...

Patriots have reached agreement with free-agent wide receiver Brandon Lloyd.

Sorry, but that’s pure nonsense and revisionist history. B.B. brought in a ton of players both offensively and defensively who without, we wouldn’t have seen a single Super Bowl victory. On defense alone: Seymour Ty Warren Asante Samuel Jarvis Green Vince Wilfork Eugene Wilson Just to name a...

How about this for a start, WAS SAMUEL PART OF THE WORST SECONDARY IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL?

There aren't that many good CB's in the league right now but his exact place dosen't matter, the point is he would easily be the best CB on the PAts by a wide margin.

I agree, I would rather a guy get beat trying to make a play than sitting 10 yard s off the wr waiting to through themselves at the ground. Samuel "MAKES PLAYS & TURNS THE BALL OVER" anyone that thinks he wouldn't be the best CB on this team hasn't been watching the same team I have.

He's one of the top 10 CB's in NFL who would come in and easily be the best player we have in the secondary. Yes that's worth a 2nd round pick, or maybe I should name off some of the second round picks we have had over the last five years? Or better yet, if you feel like something to eat...

Could have been, I always drink more when I'm nervous.:Pyx: I just don't get the Samuel hate, if he comes back at the right $$$ he's easily woth a second round pick in my mind. For some to compare him to Meriweather is comical.

So one bad play and he sucks? Does Brady suck for under throwing Gronk while they were driving to go up by two scores in the Super Bowl? Does Welker suck for dropping the pass that would iced the game? Or how about this, why don't you just tell me what CB on the Patriots roster right now is...

I agree, and he's still far better than any CB we have on the roster now.

He also said nothing but good things about the Patriots when he left, it could very well happen. For the right $$ and draft pick we could do alot worse.

So did Branch, I think some forget just how good Samuel was, and still has been with the Eagles.

Your thoughts on how we are doing.

Could be the dumbest thing I've heard on this board. We can't put a good player out there without another good player at a differen't position.:high: You do understand Samuel has gone to the Pro-bowl since he's been playing for another team?

Your thoughts on how we are doing.

What would this move have to do with the lack of pass rush? You act like if they made this move it would be the only thing that do from here out. Samuel is a better CB than anything we have, and yes he does pick the ball off alot, got knows how giving Brady and the offense the ball...

Your thoughts on how we are doing.

Why so? Samuel has been far and away the best CB we have had since Ty Law, and he knows the system. Of course he would have to restructure but at 31 he still has some good years left.

Your thoughts on how we are doing.

I'm willing to bet right now that we are in play to get Samuel back from the Eagles. The Eagles are trading him and I think it's at least in part why Brady restructured his contract. Makes all the sense in the world if we can get im for a 2nd rounder, he would go a long way to solving the...

How do you think they can do this? If we go by the draft pick value chart, the 27th and 31st combined only gets them to the late teens at best. Could there be a player in the mix?

why would the Patriots want Tebow?

Bottom line, Tebow could fill a role here?, or he couldn't? I don't think it matters all that much because he's not going to be a Patriot. I would however love to see the Train wreck that would be Tebow to the Jets, that could be fun.

why would the Patriots want Tebow?

So now we are changing the argument to money? Do you think that there aren't WR's. TE's and RB's making that kind of money and more? The point is that it's not out of the question for a player to switch positions and be very productive.
