why would the Patriots want Tebow?

He didn't say that Tebow did the sneak better than Brady, he said that he would rather have Tebow doing the sneaks than Brady.

Do you really like Brady diving into a pile of Dlinesmen?

Yes, cause he's really good at it.

Because I hate it every time.

Why? Cause he might get hurt? He's a football player after all. He could get hurt on any play.

What the hell do we have running backs for? So we can lose our QB to IR for one stinking TD?

Fourh quarter, playoffs, game on the line...OK, fine, QB sneak.

All those regular season games? Send in a RB.

What's most likely for the defense to stop? A dive play at the goalline, or a QB sneak with Brady?

I would rather see Vereen, Woodhead and Ridley run the ball.
I would rather see Gronk, Ahern and Fells block on the line and catch balls.
I would rather see Tom throw the ball.
I would rather see Hoyer and Mallett backup for Tom.

Where does that leave Tebow?

I'd like to see BB do one of his conversion projects on Tebow. I think he is a tremendous athlete and would do well in a role. That role should not be backup QB and I agree I am perfectly happy with Hoyer and Mallet in that role. However, I could see Tebow used as a RB, WR, or TE, leaving open the option of gimmick pass plays.

Now, there is no way we trade for Tebow and pick up his rather large contract for a role player. The only way Tebow comes to the Pats is after Jacksonville or some other team cuts him down the road and we sign him to a new cap friendly contract. But by then he will probably be too old for a conversion project. Too bad, but he will make his money and fade away somewhere, probably Jacksonville.

Please to the Jets! Please to the Jets! Please to the Jets! :grovel::grovel::grovel:

:thwak:

The Jags, DAMNIT!

I wanted that to happen in the 2010 Draft and ever since, I've been waiting longer!

(Though I will admit that the hilarity of Tebow going to the Jets is too much to pass up, and that I'd laugh my ass off if that were to happen).

I WANT TEBOW IN NEW YORK AS A MEMEBER OF THE JETS!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man the foul mouth Rex coaching Tebow followed by Sanchez missing an open WR in the 1st quarter of a home game and teh whole stadium chanting Tebow's name.....this would be like Viagra for football fans - if it doesn't get a rise out of you you are dead.

Schefter's proposal is that Den trades Tebow to Jax for Henne.
I honestly don't think he will wind up in Jax.

If Elway trades Tebow to the Jets then he's an even bigger dick than I had thought. Jesus, that three ring circus will ruin that kid.

But Edelman won't make $1.1 million in 2012 like Tebow, who could earn as much as $6.055 million in 2013 and $7.145 million in 2014. That's one of the reasons why no one wants to give up a high pick for Tebow. You don't pay your backup qb that kind of money and you don't pay a player that kind of money if he's making a position switch.

So now we are changing the argument to money? Do you think that there aren't WR's. TE's and RB's making that kind of money and more? The point is that it's not out of the question for a player to switch positions and be very productive.

There can be more than 1 argument against something.

Some of us don't think he is worth the $$$ risk just to see if he can play RB. Some of us don't think he would be more than a 3rd down back. Some of us don't think he could be a RB at all.

And some, like me, are :grovel: that he goes to the Jest.

Of course there are, but these guys actually played that position when they signed their contracts.

Sure a few palyers were able to switch positions in the NFL. But for everyone of them, there are a lot more guys who couldn't do it.

And some, like me, are :grovel: that he goes to the Jest.

So am I. :grovel:

So without reading this whole thing, did we figure out why the Patriots needed Tebow yet? ESPN has kinda backed off the Clayton amazing prediction that the pats would beg for Tebow to grace our team. Speaking of Clayton, these guy says so many off the wall things and is never right, why do they call him a genius? I could make better predictions.
