Fixed. It should show secure now. It was linking to the unsecure banner here instead of having it locally.
 
Thanks for all your efforts, guys. I've visited other teams' message boards and this is the best hands-down! :)

Okay, I am done for the day. Here is what we have as of now.

https://www.patriotsplanet.net/BB/index.php This is a copy of here. Pretty much the same 15 year old software. It will feel familiar and look the same. You already know where everything is.

https://www.patriotsplanet.net/vb4/forum.php is vbulletin 4. Please note I only did very minor tweaks to it and it would need a lot of polishing. Please explore it. It is very feature rich and has a ton of mods.

And I can't get VB5 to work yet. Will try again tomorrow. I was NOT impressed with the install. Kind of sloppy script.

VB5, such as it is. I spent even less time trying to customize it for us. It is a completely different beast. Even the same imported database is twice the size of the other two. But it is current, and updated, with modern mobile display and social media sharing. Don't judge it on its current looks, but more function, feel, and performance.

And with that, I am kind of done until we make a decision. I may post a new thread with a poll to get everyone's opinion. This was a tiring process getting all these setup, but I learned a lot. So IF we move in a firm direction, I now have the knowledge to stream line it a bit. The full migration would probably take most of a whole day.
 
I'll check it out. Been using vb4 most of the morning and that is working well.
 
I've been fooling around with it a bit. Inserting YouTube videos is easy peasy. I can't seem to find the "View First Unread" feature in a thread :shrug:

So, when it the new site coming on board? And once it does will this site be gone?

Look, I'm an old fart so I don't do well with this tech stuff. I don't do facebook and have never "tweeted" in my life and have no plans to ever "tweet".

I did dump my casino cash stash that I was holding for Mikies weekly football betting. BTW UT, perhaps Kyle can send you the real $ that some of us donated, thinking it was being used for this site -not his chiefsplanet site.

I was wondering if this site will be gone, as well. If so, I'm considering dumping my casino cash too.

I've been scoping out VB5 mostly because I assume it's a newer version of VB4, so I guess I cast my vote for either one.
 
I am tentatively right now planning for Friday. The plan is to just set this place to closed, preventing it from further damage, with a redirect to the new site. But if you are ever in doubt for the new URL, go to the front page at https://www.patriotsplanet.net

There isn't much there now, but it will be updated with clear links to the forums.

I started creating my 'to-do' list this morning to map all the steps out, and Tapatalk is one of the items. I like to use it too. It won't be enabled as soon as the board opens, but it is an early task once it does. So hopefully by the end of the weekend if not the first day.
