Can Kraft do something about the traffic

Well, Kraft could make the team suck again. Back then, it was easy to get in and out of the stadium. :coffee:

not always, there were days it was horrible back then, I've been driving to games for 23 years and access always has been an issue -

usually the traffic is what it is, last night it was different

Damn you JD and your incridible ideas. By the way now can we have a good idea about this team? After two weeks of drubbing AFC "pretenders"?

I think another problem is that many people have not gotten used to the new traffic patterns yet. The preseason was smooth simply because many people arrive later for those games. I know that one thing that held me up as I got closer was people suddenly coming upon the new median strip and to pull into congested lanes to get to their lot of choice. Once the regulars start to get used to the new setup, things will likely go smoother.

Traffic was fu*ked last night like I have not seen since the early days of Sullivan Stadium. Made worse because there was apparently an accident on route 1 as the game was getting out that took quite awhile to clear.

I couldn't even get into P2 by the time I go there where I usually park, and much of the good parking areas close to the stadium have been replaced by crappy ones on the other side of route 1.

The whole Patriot Place thing has been designed like a theme park or a casino. The entire design is to force you to walk slowly by the stores and cannot easily get out and away from them.

I can't argue with the Krafts trying to make extra revenue, especially since the PatsPlace money is not likely to be considered football revenue and hence does not fall under the league sharing rules. This sucks bad though, especially given they bumped the parking price up to $40 for the privilige of dealing with this crap.

Hopefully it will get a little better once everyone gets used to the new lots and that sort of thing, but until them come extra early and be prepared to wait a long time after the game.

Bolts and his buddy showed up and joined the party.

my favorite part was his friend leaving his glasses, so I took a walk over around mid 2nd quarter and shouted down to him;
"I want you to be able to see this".... oh the chuckles that got, I am so funny.

ROFL

Classic!

They (State and Kraft) should have put a spur in from 495 going directly to the stadium , sort of like Disney.
That would alleviate LOTS of the problems on Route 1

Not really sure either team are "pretenders". The Jets could still be pesky and get to .500, and the Chargers will still probably challenge in their division.

As far as the Pats go? Offense looks great, obviously. Running game's not bad but could be a bit better; passing game rocks. Blocking's still weird in the typical Patriots way: one play it looks like a wall of stone, next play it looks like a wall of Cool-Whip. But I think overall they're blocking a bit better than last season.

Defensively they also look pretty much the same as always. They can bring a lot of heat, they can confuse and cause turnovers, but they can also give up a lot of 3DC. Some of that could be attributable to working new guys like AT in, and having Harrison and Seymour back would help, but by and large the defensive positives definitely outweigh the negatives.

With the offense they've been showing, I'm just not sure how a team can hold them in check. Can't put eight in the box or Moss will eat them alive; can't play safe because Brady will eat them alive underneath to Welker, Watson and the rest. (And, BTW, we've still seen precious little of Faulk. Maroney and Morris are alternating the ground work, but if the Pats ever do need to work a short passing game you KNOW Faulk will be in there and that'll be just one more thing for opponents to worry about.)

I think it's safe to say that the offense is coming along quicker than the defense (although even on the offensive side of the ball we've seen only glimpses from Stallworth, plus no Troy Brown... they could actually get even BETTER). But I can't point to another team in the league that I think is obviously better than the Pats in any area, including Indy. That should be one fun game (assuming Polian hasn't called for the Inquisition by that time and Belichick isn't in some dungeon on the rack).

I can't believe he's bogartin' that soccer babe and didn't bring her out to Foxboro to <strike>be stalked</strike> meet the Pats Planet gang.

So, how did BOU take the game? Any comments about New England or the stadium that we can put up here as bulletin board motivation for the next time he starts a thread? :D

Sorry to hear about your ordeal. When I get tickets, very rarely, I dive 2.5 hours to the stadium and then 2.5 hours back. That's after I wait an hour after the game to attempt to leave.

Last night I had no problem. I moved my ass very quicly to my reserved parking space on my couch.
