That ship was supposed to have an escort. Also, gross incompetence in only dropping one anchor and effectively turning that thing into a giant tether ball. 6 construction workers are dead, my only is that they went so fast that they didn't feel it. The families of the survivors need to sue the Port Authority AND whatever part of the DOT this falls under
Well that's embarrassing. Had it actually been there in 67-68 I would have crossed it. And that aside I have in fact crossed it many times. on our many excursions to the DC area and Virginia and the Carolinas. But around the mid nineties I think all our Virginia trips were by way of the eastern shore crossing back at Norfolk
