Brad McCrimmon, drafted by the B's in 1980 died when a plane went down in Russia. He was the coach of a Russian team called Locomotiv and died along with the whole tea on takeoff. What a tragedy.

This is a freaky story, especially since I had a dream about a team plane crashing on Sunday night. I don't remember details, but I checked the news on Monday and yesterday to see if anything really happened. Didn't have time to check this morning, because I had an early appointment.

Very tragic news. May God bless their souls.

Strange. Stay away from me.

Seriously, I was just talking this morning with Lori about Garnet (Ace) Baily who died on Pan AM flight 175 on 9/11. This also strikes me as ominous/strange.

And I well remember Sabena Flight 548 that crashed headiong into Brussels in 1961 killing the entire 1961 US Figure Skating team.

Requiescat in Pace, Brad et al

5 or 6 former NHL'ers were also killed.

I met Brad back in the 80's
RIP my friend

From time-to-time, it pops in my mind how amazing it is at how infrequently an occurrence it is that entire teams are wiped out en route from one destination to the next with all the traveling that is done.

Sorry to hear this news. Tragic.

Yes. But I also forgot "We are Marshall".

Cheers, BostonTim

Also the Oklahoma State hoops team.

But in the grand scheme of things, amazingly small likelihood of these tragedies occurring considering all of the travel.

Have you recently read The Dead Zone? Very strange dream.

I hate to say it, but with burns over 90% of his body, he might be better off..

God Blessed him, by taking him with burns over 90% of his body I would not be able to comprehend the agony he must have been going through.
