Him and Carroll O'Connor going at it in All in the Family was epic comedy. They were both hilarious.

Still watch The Jeffersons....loved every one of them. Grew up on Jeffersons, Different strokes and Good times. One of the sitcom actors of all time..RIP
 
I think, growing up in a small rural town with no Black people (except for one couple with a hoodlum son I hung out with), that shows like The Jeffersons and Good Times - which I watched often - helped allieviate many of the concerns shared by my lighter neighbors.

No longer, to them, were Black people simply scary violent monsters that want to rob and beat and rape and kill whitey. And even if they did, they'd be making damned funny jokes while doing it. :coffee:
