Good Lord.

436 yards? I've never heard of a pro golfer playing an actual hole hitting one anywhere near that far. There is a legendary story of Arnold Palmer driving the green on a par 4 in the US Open at Cherry Hills in 1960 and I looked that up.

He hit his 346 yards.

McIlroy had a 396 yard drive today (British Open, 2nd round).

That kid might launch one into orbit some day. :D

In this month's (August 2014) edition of Scientific American, the author of the Anti-Gravity column, Steve Mirsky, crafted this phrase: "...a daily vehicular-begotten, greasy-grimy gopher-gutted Guernica."

Apparently his awareness of popular culture is not unlike those who have been posting in this thread.

So he has that going for him, which is nice.
