Man, what a way to go out! Retire with that crucial play and a SB ring.

In my 31 years so far, I haven't seen many like Gronk in terms of pure football ability, blocking, catching, all the facets for success. We have to look to the draft to take his successor and create a new moniker to cheer for years. Maybe "The Hock" or "Fant Touch This" or "We Yearn for Stern" or "Return of the Dax".

Sad to see him go but happy for him. Pats locker room will miss as well as on the field. It was an utter joy to watch him play. Keep throwin' them outta the club, Gronk! :toast:

I said it a while ago and will repeat it here.

I'm saddened to see Gronk moving on and calling it quits at such a young age, but I feel like I got a chance to watch the best true two-way Tight End in the history of football.

Some guys played longer and had more catches, but none of them helped their teams win in the air or on the ground like he did.

I also want to thank him for being a big, happy lug who made us laugh and pumped a little color into the whole organization.

I'm actually a little misty-eyed at the moment. I loved watching that dude play football. Loved it.

So, Gronk....if you could have any superpower-- what would it be?

Was watching some old highlights of him on twitter. Man he was fast. Its quite a change to see him then and now. Damage really took a toll on him in 9 years with how he played. He never thought about the future after he caught the ball, never slid down under a tackle, always took everyone head on.

this sucks...

Overrated :coffee: Guy was monster and definitely first ballot.

Reports are saying that's not done yet. He's not quite with the Saints yet.

Link?

I really wish we had the knowledge last week.

An incredible career. Wish him nothing but the best. But I think a couple years from now he’ll be wishing he wasn’t still in his 20s when he hung em up.

Or maybe he returns as a Schrute Christmas present, ready for a playoff run.
