Report: 'All but certain' Kap makes roster

CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco reports it is "all but certain" Colin Kaepernick will make the initial roster.

Considering his salary is guaranteed and Chip Kelly called him one of the two best quarterbacks on the roster, Kaepernick was never leaving unless he was traded. With a trade unlikely, he looks set to open the season as Blaine Gabbert's backup. It is still not out of the question Kap makes starts this season, but the 49ers could choose to just put him on ice before cutting him next spring.

11.6 mill is a lot of money to eat. His agent could spin it . Saying he was released because of his nation anthem protest .
