No opinions, only facts. Let's put this myth to rest forever and prove that Dandy Dan was not a Choker....ready, go.

I dunno. 8-10 is pretty hard to overcome. So is 62-7. So is the Invented Lee Stat of Marino having at least 30 plays of 0 yards or less in Super Bowl XIX. Then there was the clutch 20-48 with 2 INTs the next year in the AFCCG.

Should be interesting.

Im not quite sure what exactly you Pat Fans don't get...these are Marino's AllTime Rankings directly from the NFL's Hall Of Fame both Reg season and Post season...Not to mention he is short 1 game with the most combacks in history, and has the most Victories of any QB in the least amount of games...

If this guy is choker, I would like you to post actual hard credible facts as I just did...instead of posting your bullshit of how Marino gave up 62 points afainst Jags..

So no one has a single fact that disproves he was a choker? I find that hard to believe.

Meaningless longevity stats. You can do better.

And 29-50 in SB XIX is all well and good, but what about the 30 plays of 0 yards or less?

29-50-318 1 TD 2 INT, 6.2 YPA (pathetic) 66.9 rating (pathetic)

Career Playoffs: 385-687 56.0% (awful) 4510 yds, 6.6 YPA, 32 TD 24 INT (Favre is 39 TD 28 INT with an 85.7 rating) 77.1 rating

The funny part is, d22 proved marino is a choker, he shows a lot of longevity stats in the regular season then if you look at the playoffs its, 2nd most pass attempts. ROFL. I didnt know pass attempts made you good in the playoffs. The fact he had so long of regular season success and then fell apart in the playoffs kinda proves everything.

Can't anyone prove that Marino wasn't a choker? Surely someone has proof! ;)

thats funny...because most of the records I posted are single Games, single season and most conesecutive gms & sea records

Reg seasons 33 NFL Passing Records & only 6 are longevity/career...and this is against the 15 year greatest QB pool era in all NFL History...these are definateky QB choking records ! ...jeez if this doesn't prove what a choker Marino is ...what does..and he is top 3 QB's in 12 Post season passing records...

This is like asking us to prove that the Sun isn't hot.

Marino threw at least one interception in 13 of his 18 career playoff games. He threw two or more interceptions 10 times. The Dolphins went just 1-9 in those 10 Marino multi-interception playoff games.

Nothing about the 30 plays of 0 yards or less in the Super Bowl, Lee?

Nothing about the 6.6 YPA in the playoffs?

Nothing about the 56.0% Completions in the playoffs?

Nothing about his shitty 77.1 QB rating in the playoffs?

You're throwing single-game and longevity records up in order to prove Marino isn't a choker. You're better than this Lee. Weak sauce from you, my friend.

So you are saying he is good in regular season but in the playoffs he sucks? Cool more evidence that marino is a choker. The post season records you are using are interceptions and like passes attempted, not sure those are what wins games for you. When you play that long in the league you are going to accumulate numbers. What I go by is 24 ints in 18 playoff games and his record and since we can contribute them losing to multi int games, it looks pretty good that marino was in fact a choker.

So the fact that most of their losses was in mutil int marino games, I would say he was a big cause for them losing.

No facts? I'm starting to think that Marino really was a choker.

Coming in 2nd isn't a record dumb dumb.

Who holds that pass completion record anyway:coffee:

Far be it from me to defend Dan Marino (**** him and his isotoners) but interceptions = losses may not always be the case.

Sometimes you lose because you're throwing interceptions.

Sometimes, you're throwing interceptions because you're losing.

MUST you always be the voice of reason? :D

or sometimes you are throwing interceptions because you are throwing too damn much trying to be the hero and you are throwing into triple coverage and not being careful with the ball. 24 ints in 18 playoff games.

I know that.

What I am saying though, is that sometime interceptions are the cause of losing, and sometimes, they are a byproduct of losing. If you're down by two touchdowns with no time left, well, you are at a much higher risk of throwing a pick because A, there is no time to be patient, and B, everyone on the field knows you're throwing.
