No, much more likely that it's Zappe as emergency QB3, but they were more confident in Zappe getting through vs Cunningham.

what are you worried about a back up QB for? if it gets to that point the season is over any way!

QB is the most important position on the team. It is not over when the starter goes down as long as it is not for the entire season. Mac missed 2 games last year and Zappe won both of his starts. If we don't have a capable QB at that spot and lose those 2 games, our playoff chances would have been over by Dec. 1.
