Week 7 2022, The Bears At Gillette

Was discussing with a good friend who put this in the proper perspective: Mac still never should have thrown that ball where he did

Yeah, unless he was throwing the ball away, which didn't seem to be the case. He shouldn't have thrown that ball given that there was a safety right there waiting to pick it off. It's crappy that the trajectory of the ball was shortened or altered, but it was still a questionable decision.

Yeah. And watching the play, the safety was coming from deep to short, so it’s not like Jonnu had him beat over the top and it would’ve gone over the safety’s head had it not hit the wire. The DB just would’ve slowed down to adjust to the trajectory of the ball, but the outcome would’ve more or less been the same.

Regardless of the outcome - whether it was intercepted, incomplete, or a circus catch - it was a bad decision and a bad throw.

Amidst the turd sandwich that the game was, this was lost in the shuffle. Great play by Marcus Jones. Another very promising young corner.

So, is that sort of like lying??? :coffee:
