Not sure why LV is so popular, they're in 4 of the top 10 and they and BAL have the #1 spot. Considering that Carr is a 7 year vet with 1 winning season to his name, they have no new QBs on the roster, and just raider'd up the draft, is it really just the fact it's a new stadium in Vegas? Folks want to be in there regardless of what's going on? Or is there something I'm missing which makes them as a team compelling?

Because the fans of every team on LVs home schedule want to make that their "road trip" game.

I think it is becoming more and more a possibility that Rodgers retires.

Very true, it would be one hell of a weekend trip! I am looking forward to seeing fans in that new Death Star stadium and what kind of noise they make. I'd be pretty certain a hardcore of Oakland based fans will make the trip over for each home game. Gruden really does need to produce something though this season. It's his 4th season, the honeymoon is well and truly over. That $100 MIllion contract will have to be justified at some stage.

I will enjoy that trip when the Pats go to LV.
Gruden and Mayock have to be feeling some degree of heat this year. That's a team that is desperately searching for the formula to make its sum better than its parts.
They both need to be better. So far incremental and continuous improvement has eluded the Raiders.

They remind me a little of the Browns. Unfilled promise - although the Browns have made some good progress whereas the Raiders seem like they're up to their crotch in quicksand.

I've been on the Browns bandwagon for a couple of years now only to be let down. There's still hope - damn, what a good roster they have! Yeah, I'm seriously thinking this could be the Browns' year yet again. I bring it up because I watched the Browns shellac Roethlisberger and his Steelers in their recent playoff game on NFL Network last night. Everyone in their right mind projects the Ravens to win the North but the Browns have had a taste of success now. Don't count them out; they're hungry and talented. Plus Kevin Stefanski is not Freddie Kitchens. He's not Mike Tomlin or Harbaugh either. The Ravens have serious competition for #1 in the North. In my mind, the Browns project to win the division with the Ravens 2nd and the Steelers will fight the Bengals for 3rd in Ben's swan song year. He's 39 but going on 50.

Wow. Jaguars Senior Vice President of Football Operations and Strategy Karim Kassam is out, per sources. He was hired just a few months ago, in February.
The owners hired him bc they think analytical data is useful but Urban Meyer obviously doesn't agree. Meyer wants to run the show.

Kassam was previously the money ball specialist for the Minn. Twins and most recently with the Steelers. Kassam is the first person the Steelers hired to study advanced statistics.
He was hired by the Steelers in 2015.

Seems like Adam was here a lifetime ago. The only spoiler to his career for me is he spent the majority of his career in Indy. I just can't stand that org as most Pats fans feel the same. I kind of like them now with Reich and I like Ballard too. But the Polian years and Irsay, oy vey! I will always love Adam for those early SB kicks but I honestly don't feel much for the guy and haven't in a long time. He feels like he was more of a Colt than a Patriot. I am happy that he will get into the Hall. Most deserving kicker of all time.

He was more of a Colt. he was there longer. that said, he was great for the Pats. he did also win a playoff game singlefootedly for indy when he scored all their points against balt in 06.

Probably won't be popular to say but if Adam is our kicker in 2007, we try that FG in the SB vs the Giants instead of that stupid 4th and 15 pass play.
