Very sorry to hear this. I have to say, I'm not sure there was ever a sexier woman in cinema history. Only Marilyn comes close imho.

When an icon in the music field dies, we often have a thread with music clips in it.

I sense that there is more that can be done in this thread to honor Ms. Welch.

Is Sophia Loren still alive? :coffee:

To be fair, Gina Lollobrigida was a stunner as well.

She was slightly before my time, but I caught up.

I think I was 10 when Fantastic Voyage came out and I loved that movie. I mean I was a few
years away from puberty, but I knew something was going on with her.

I spent most of the movie praying one of those white corpuscles would figure out how
wrap itself around around her zipper and pull it down.

Take this however you wish.

A brilliant artist friend posted this last night.

My response follows.

"I heard an interview with Raquel Welch, and she talked about a serious car crash she had, hurt and dazed she heard from nowhere a deep man's voice say "Raquel, Raquel Welch?" Shocked, she realized she was dead, and it was the voice of God. And she answered "Yes." It was a new car and one of its safety communication features was a live agent to check on her and get her the help she needed. Her intelligence and charm were exceptional.

JL:

"♥

She somehow was never my physical thing.

Maybe I just love, care for and respect human beings beyond the the fleeting yet intoxicating beauty. Dunno,

Actually yes I do know.

Beautiful soul and perfect words.

Thank you Michael.

Sharing elsewhere in the world."

JL's beautiful and intelligent Bulgarian national friend In California:

Petiia:

"OMG Mark, are you for real? I know you are I've met you, just wow, love is not the right word".

Rest in peace Raquel, we'll miss you.

You all know Lori and I've been together a long time. Nothings perfect, so after a fashion I decided to forgive her for tossing my 1 million years B.C. poster.

Cheers

RIP Raquel, thanks for your life's work.

Christmas 1967, we jumped into trucks for a 30 mile trip to Long Bin, for the Bob Hope XMas show. Headlining was a young actress by the name of Raquel Welch.
Although most of us barely knew who she was, the noise was deafening when she took the stage.
Thanks to Miss Welch for helping to make Christmas a long way from home for a bunch of GIs a little easier.
