The B's dominated the last 39 minutes. Cut down on the blind passes and shoot more on the PP and they'll be cruising.

The team as a whole won this v Tuukka standing on his head. 1 bone head no look pass behind the goal line gave the Blues momentum until the B's first goal. The whole thing shifted in the good guys favor after that. The fourth line was huge again tonight, the fore check was relentless and smothering. Also the B's were able to carry the puck over the Blues blue line after the first period much more effectively than the Blues usually allow. Solid effort tonight.

Rust was readily apparent.

Legs weren’t really going early. Passing. Puck control. Playmaking. All just off. And despite it all they still had more legit scoring chances.

Intermission settled them. Down 2 early and they flicked the switch. 2nd period domination. Nice net drive by Clifton. Chuckie Mc with a high slot snipe.

2nd intermission and you could just feel it. Krug gets positively raped - wtf was that? Recovers. Heads down ice. And DESTROYS the rookie Thomas. Kuraly line going strong most of the night. Fittingly he pumps the gamewinner. Marchy with an ENer, should’ve had another. He’ll need a stronger game moving forward.

Tuukka wasn’t challenged much. Did make a difficult save in the final minute on Tarasenko. Sneaky backhander that could’ve been trouble. Overall, not his toughest game.

Hopefully we see a team back to normal now. St Louis is big. Tough. But they seem lacking in scoring threats. Schenn and Tarasenko are their guys. They delivered last night. But they need more and I’m not sure it’s there.

Interesting tidbit from the Channel 10 pre-game show: Tory Krug is currently the longest active tenured athlete in Boston to have not won a championship. That's just insane.

What are they defining as tenured? Does that mean drafted and product of the system?

David Backes just won his 1st Cup Final game. His resume dwarfs Krug.

I interpreted it as time spent in Boston.

I did too...

I think better phrasing would be... Which currently active athlete has been in Boston the longest without a championship....

And how crazy is it that the correct answer is Krug,

although I guess it speaks to turnover on the Celtics too.....
