    Just finishing watching "Ziegfield Girl" on TCM. Lovely look at vaudeville and Judy G. She played the Daughter of "Mr. Gallagher" of the real and famous old vaudeville team of Gallagher and Shean. Shean's real life sister was Minnie Marx, Mom to the Marx, Bros.
    Gallagher and Shean fought like hell and apparently hated each other. Neil Simon's "The Sunshine Boys" was inspired by their relationship.

    I heart the internet. I learned those tidbits in about 60 seconds of snooping.

    I've been crying for two days. Finding out that my little guy is really sick and it can't be fixed was just the icing on the cake of my life right now. I am really sinking fast and can't find a life raft.

    Took my mom to see Englebert when he played at one of the Indian Casinos here.

    The guy is 70+ years old, but he's still got it.

    OBX is regular semiannual trek of ours. We'll be down there for a week in September.

    We visited Hatteras on a rainy day day when it wasn't moving. It was maybe a quarter of the way to it's destination. Still, incredibly impressive.

    Even some of the posters around here who are likely reasonably bright still seem to view argument and contention as a sport. I think half the time some of them don't even believe what they're saying - they just love to hear themselves holding forth. Take a position - ANY position - and I'll dispute that!! blowhards . . . lol
