Crazy that he will be 30 this year.

I'd welcome him here but evaluating the FA value of a WR is my kryptonite so I am sure another team will value him more than what I think he might be worth.

Couldn't live up to the hype of being a top 10 pick, but did play well enough to get a second contract.

But never quite lived up to the expectations after a breakout year. That said, for the right price he's a decent gamble. I'd definitely take him over Parker.

Or JuJu while we're at it.

The Tits way overpaid…
Maybe. But they had money to spend, and spent it.

When you're bad, the only assets you have are high draft picks and cap space - they used theirs, we went dumpster diving. We are STILL well under the cap floor, btw. Despite where I've seen people saying 'it's a 3 year average', it is, but you have to OVERspend then next two years to make up for it.

Exactly. Embarrassing for the Patriots no matter how you look at it. They were confident in their offer so they made it public; they were sure they would get him. Next time they
won't announce an offer, lol.

I'm dying to see Curran, Perillo, Kirsh et al trying to spin this Ridley miss.

Tom E. blamed missing on Hopkins last year on Bill on Early Edition just now. But ironically, he didn't blame this FO for missing out on Ridley. He said "maybe Ridley just didn't want to come here"! Excuses. I'm looking right at Kraft for missing on Ridley and Hopkins, too, at
this point. At least Perry said they had the cash and they should have spent it on the best WR in FA...that the Patriots FO over promised and under delivered. He's right about that.

Perry went on to say Eliot Wolf is treading on thin ice. That if he wants to make his boss happy and keep his job after the draft he'd better not over spend for any FA.
He said Wolf is feeling the heat from above.
Iow, blame Kraft for not getting Ridley but he didn't come out and say it that way.
