Sorry if this has already been posted!

I attended the Pats game in Buffalo and let me say, the Pats fans came out in droves. There must have been 10-15 thousand of us there, it was fantastic.

I stayed in Niagra Falls, Ontario and the town was taken over by Pats fans, I've never seen anything like it. Every restaurant, bar, convenience store, casino, strip club, oops I mean gentlemens club and sidewalk was flooded with Pats jerseys, jackets and hats. It almost brought a tear to my eyes lol.
I plan on making it an annual pilgrimage.

Yes, it was the talk of the postgame show - how many Pats fans were there and how loud they got. Cool Beans. :thumb:

This is great, If we cant pump up our own stadium we can always go pump up others. :thumb:

Thanks for the tip. I may make the trek next year. It's probably easier to get decent seats there than in Foxboro.

DC, with any luck the game is a little earlier in the season and not as wintery as last week. If it is a later season game the falls are still a great take with the holiday season lights.

It is a fun place to go and watch a game. I found majority of the fans to be fun and never had an issue up during the bunch of years I went. I will start again when my kids get a few years older.

first few years we would go in a rented RV and stay just out of the city, maybe catch a Sabres game also. after that I used to go with my wife, brother and his kids up for the weekend and we had a blast. Actually more fun. Buffalo gets a bad rap at times but like any city if you know where to go, fun can be had.

In a shorter comment, a definate take.

Ya know, I used to always think the "EH" thing was exagerated by certain comedians etc. but after meeting a few Canadians last week it isn't.

Eh is like a verbal period, at the end of every sentance or thought. It was hard not to chuckle.

My question for any canadian members...Is this a nation wide thing or is it peculiar to Onterio (seem like most of the folks we met were from Toronto).

Nova Scotia here, I never hear it. As a matter of fact I don't know a single person who says it. I travel for a living see lots of folks.

I hear a few "eh's" here in New Brunswick, but not many. It does seem to be a Torontoid thing.

Another over-exaggeration by American comedians is "aboot". Not everyone says it, and it sounds more like "a-boat" to me.

(EDIT: Nova Scotia? Hey, yet another Maritimer! Welcome aboard!)

Thanks for the welcome, it surprises me that there are not more Patriots fans in the Maritimes. Its nice to see that I am not alone.

MA good post,

I agree, Canadian side of the falls is the best. It is spelled NiagAra Falls however.

I know, it seems everyone in the province wears a Red Sox cap, but there aren't nearly as many Pats fans...maybe this just isn't a big football area.

Sure there are some Pats fans, but there are too many damned bandwagoners around here too. A friend of mine works at Cleve's and he says the Patriots gear doesn't sell very well.

You'd think that with our success and since we get all the games on TV this would be Patriots Nation North. Guess not...

Its definitely worth it, I paid $314.00 for a package which included bus ride, 2 nights hotel, 2 free breakfasts, bus transfer to and from the game and game ticket. Cheap money imo.

What's up buddy. You still doing "work" on that other site we spoke of before? If so, grab the "Dolphins of the 70's" thread for some ammo.....I'm sure that will generate some "responses" over "there"......

Buffalo huh? Is it true they only have 1 traffic light? Did you try any buffalo wings?

I haven't been to Rich stadium yet, but have spent some time in the falls area and it is really a good take and a fun area.

Key thing to remember is that the Canadian side is nice and the American side sucked as of my last visit and I don't think it is any better now.

There is a section of the falls on the American side that is the "tallest" but the entire viewing area is rundown and pathetic. It is embarassing.

Seeing that side and then going across the bridge to Canada to see that side is like escaping from a trailer park and ending up in a mini-Vegas.

Anybody planning a trip should definitely listen to PatsR and book a room in Ontario. Plenty of cool stuff to do and see and you are only a few minutes from the states for the actual game.

I'd advise not eating in the revolving restaraunt though. Can't recall the name of it. Definitely steer clear of that place. I had a bad piece of Salmon that had me in bed for 3 days and shitting at every single rest stop on the NY state thruway.

And it's a LONG way between rest stops.
