I love how they structured the contract so that if he sits, he doesn't lose money.

Guess that means internally they agree in their guilt and circumstance and the NFLPA circus is just that.......tantrum throwing because they screwed themselves.

You know you are not unique or a special flower. We've heard all of this stuff from a lot of "fans" of opposing teams that have this same shtick.

More of a middle finger to the league. Love it. :toast::dbanana:

Yeah, that's it. They believe "in their guilt."

Proves what a master BB is. Thumbing his nose at the NFL and taking care of the GOAT at the same time.

Win win.

Do you honestly think we care what other fans think of us? Why come here if you hate us so?

Is it the middle finger just to the league?

I am amazed at the fanboyism of such a rogue operation

No the finger is to the other 31 owners and fanbases as well. Although I like to think most of the finger is for Irsay and Biscotti both of who who right now have bottom third of the league rosters. :dbanana:

Win win.

Also proves how much smarter the Pats are than everyone else. When you think of the crap shows that went recently with legendary QBs in GB (Favre) and Indy (Manninhgh) and compare to NE it is stunning. They have managed to pay Brady while keep his cap hits modest in order to build a winning team around him. Worked like a charm in 2014 with the 4th ring and almost again last year if not for the injuries. Can't wait for 2016 and this team's drive to get five.

Yep.

But Brady is willing to take less to keep the team competitive. It's a freaking shame his legacy will be tarnished by some because of .2 psi.

Yes. Brady has been maybe the most unselfish legendary player in team sports history.

I am not that worried about DG tarnishing him. He already proved this past season that the psi had no effect on his performance and I expect him to continue to do that the next few season as he finishes out his career. If anything, I think it will add to his legacy as a retarted league tried like crazy to get him on something so stupid and ended up looking like fools in the process.

Yes man, we all know you all cry about the patriots and they have ruined your prime football lives with their dominance in the league, and that is why you are even here spewing your crap. We know, we have known for years. It hurts you deep down inside that your team is not on the same level and that the pats have enjoyed a streak of greatness in a time when parity is supposed to rule and it has driven you to the brink of insanity to the point that all you can do is come up with silly little school yard crap to try and diminish them because you know at the end of the day, they are better than anything you have ever rooted for or ever will root for.

Brock Osweiler's monster contract after just 7 starts shows how much of a bargain Tom Brady is for the Patriots

<!-- Byline -->http://www.businessinsider.com/author/scott-davis
Brock Osweiler shocked the NFL world by ditching the Denver Broncos for a four-year, $72 million contract with the Houston Texans.

While Osweiler performed well in his seven starts in 2015, some people were taken back by the number, and reports indicated the Broncos refused to go that high to retain his services.

USA Today's Tom Pelissero broke down Osweiler's contract, and some of the numbers are eye-popping for such an inexperienced player.

Osweiler has $37 million guaranteed in the contract, all of which comes in the first two seasons. His first year is made up by a $12 million signing bonus, a $5 million roster bonus, and $4 million guaranteed base salary. In his second year, his base salary is $16 million.

As Pelissero noted, that money puts Osweiler on the same level as quarterbacks like Tony Romo, Matthew Stafford, and Jay Cutler.

While that could be a worthwhile bet on Osweiler's potential, especially given that he's only 25 years old, it also shows how good the Patriots have it with Tom Brady.
Before the start of free agency, Brady signed an extension with the Patriots that could keep in uniform until he's 42. Doug Kyed of NESN broke down the extension, reporting that Brady's deal will pay him $60 million over the next four years.

It's already cheaper in total value, and it's friendlier to the Patriots, too. Brady will count $14 million against the cap in 2016 and 2017, with base salaries of $1 million in both years. He'll earn $30 million in the first two years of his deal, compared to the $37 million the Texans guaranteed for Osweiler in the first two years of his deal.
Brady will count $22 million against the cap in 2017 and 2018, but Kyed reports the Patriots will likely extend Brady again before 2017 to prolong the cap hits and keep the team flexible. With a rising salary cap and contracts getting increasingly hefty, the $22 million cap hit currently slated for Brady doesn't look that bad to begin with.

Brady just posted one of the best seasons of his career — at 38. While his natural clock is ticking, he's surrounded by dangerous weapons on offense, and his game figures to age gracefully.

The Texans' investment in Osweiler might pay off, but the Patriots must laugh when they look at the huge numbers thrown to quarterbacks. Brady, one of the best QBs in the league, continues to do the Patriots a favor to keep the team competitive.
