Understood, but nice option to have. As I said, there are a TON of high quality premium add-ons for Xenforo, especially compared to vBulletin. It looks like a no brainer to me, but I'd like to give everyone time to see if it works for them just as well. Especially if there is anything that anyone really dislikes and whether I can mod it to make it better.

I enjoyed my time over there. It seems very intuitive moving around and posting. I didn't look into the bells and whistles such as rep and casino cash and more, but I liked what I saw.
 
I completely agree with this (eventual) move, get to something more modern, that is supported, and can keep the history. I actually started researching XenFro during the voting process, but I just didn't really have the time to get deep into it because of work.

As always thanks for everything you have been doing to take care of this board!

One thing I just noticed about the present board, is that if you highlight text and overlay a hyperlink on it, it doesn't show up underlined and a different color in your post.

If you move your cursor over it, the hyperlink shows up.

Unless I'm a complete dopey bastage, it used to do that in the old forum.

Not sure if that's something you can control or if it's just TTWIS.
 
It's probably just a style setting, with options for different colors for links too.

No one else will care about this, but it impressed me. While fooling around with this test install, I modified a file to get birthdays displayed the way I wanted them.

The board just emailed me warning me that 1 of the 4900 files that make up the board was modified from the original contents. It auto detected this and emailed the technical contact on its own.

Nice little security feature.

I like that security feature as well. Was that in VB4 or was it Xenforo? I'm not a fan of VB5.

BTW, you're doing a great job. I think a 2% raise might be in order, (next year, (maybe)).

It was on the Xenforo board, and the more I play with it and the more I look at addons available, the more convinced I am it is the right step. But I'd still love to hear any negatives anyone has before unilaterally just doing it.

I don't know about others but I'm ready for a Xenforo based PP right now. It looks to be more full-featured than vB and why wouldn't it be if vB expert employees broke off to develop their own? They knew the bar they had to beat more than anyone.

Just wanted to let everyone know I've been hard at work the past few days creating a customized installation of Xenforo for us. It is separate from the link I posted earlier. When ready, we should be able to do the whole migration within a few hours.

Here is a little sneak peak at one of the features I am trying to include...
