I am glad we got rid of one our excess Tackles.
Eagles acquired OG Josh Kline and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2018 from the Patriots in exchange for CB Eric Rowe.
Kline became expendable when the Patriots acquired Jonathan Cooper in the Chandler Jones trade. The 26-year-old will begin his Eagles' tenure as a backup guard behind starters Brandon Brooks and Isaac Seumalo, though he could vault into the starting lineup if LT Lane Johnson loses the appeal for his PED suspension. That makes more sense. But now I really think this trade didn't need to be made.
I think you're right in the sense that it's a bit puzzling as to the timing? I know they were shopping him very quietly over the summer and maybe Bill liked him and didn't want him to get away ?
Another outside the box thought is for a back up S if we lose Harmon next year? I have a hard time thinking the staff thinks Rowe can make an impact this year.
WTF?

I guess I'm in a minority, but I like giving up an older utility OLinesman for a proven quality CB, especially a CB on his rookie deal with only one year used up.
Kline wasn't going to play on Sunday. Rowe just supplanted Coleman as our nickle back.

If that's the case - I'm all for it.
Can we get a ham sammich for Coleman now?
Three way trade! Cool.
