Sad for Ghost, been a great kicker for us and hearing the players comments today, he'll be sorely missed in that lockerroom.

Recover well Ghost! Hope to see him back.

I don't want to hear any bitching from the math whizzes who prefer a 90% percent kicker to a 96% one.

As I've mentioned before, no kicker or punter can screw up this Patriot's team. Their defense is devastating. We've still got Tom F Brady behind center. The coaching is impeccable. Carry on...

Ghost has been pretty good from 40 to 50 in tough weather conditions. I’ve got mixed feelings on this. He had many good and great years for the pats. A lot of young kickers come out and flash for two years. Not many sustain above average play like he did. He’s not gonna get thrown by nerves in a big game. Still he’s hit some rough patches that are incredibly frustrating to watch. I think we will end up missing him when this season is said and done. But maybe he’s not able to do what he used to anymore. We don’t know what he’s been dealing with, or for how long. Kicker is a pretty important position though. As a fan base we know this better than anyone.

I see...another year they played Denver twice....late 80's or early 90's...

I just looked it up-the Pats lost to Denver twice, regular season, 1991. The Pats, indecently, had two place-kickers that year. Jason Staurovski and Charlie Bowman. Two journeyman. They weren't John Smith or Tony Franklin, that's for sure. Smith and Franklin were 2 of the better kickers of their times. Pretty dependable, compared to league average.

Our Patriots, imho, have it made in the shade at placekicker
The Pats, indecently,

incidentally
