Patriots Free Agency 2023

Is Orlando Brown signed yet?

Bates, Payme, Dean, Edmunds all gone. Wouldn’t have paid what these players got except for Dean.
Jamel Dean for $13M/yr was a good deal for an extremely good CB1 player.

Team hasn’t filled any holes yet.
Still need OT, CB1, FS, MLB

If Shaq Mason is available then get him, slide Onwenu to RT, and roll with Trent Brown again at LT assuming Klemm is a good OLine coach
From what I have seen and read Klemm is a damn good OLine coach

BB could spend a lot of $$ on FAs like these

  • LB Bobby Wagner
  • OT Orlando Brown
  • S CJ Gardner-Johnson
  • WR Odell Beckham, Jr.
  • LB Lavonte David
  • WR Jakobi Meyers
  • S Jordan Poyer
  • TE Dalton Schultz
  • CB James Bradberry
  • RB Miles Sanders
  • WR Adam Thielen

But here are 3 players in FA who offer value BB likes who could help us

-Washington ILB Cole Holcomb. Speedy ILB who can cover and also good against the run.
-Tampa Bay CB Sean Murphy-Bunting. He was up and coming before injuries sidetracked him. Off man or zone, Inside-out CB with good coverage and ball skills. Depth guy
-Colts WR Parris Campbell. 1st 3 yrs marred by injury, played all 17 games last year. 6', 210. Best athlete at the 2019 Combine. 4.31 40 with quicks. Slot, flanker or X WR + Return guy.
He can stretch the field with legit track speed or break ankles from the slot. Wouldn't cost much but could blossom.

Plus an OT, a TE and plenty more good prospects to fill holes coming from the draft.

Bradberry's, Parris Cambell's and Austin Hooper's names keep coming up.

For OT, I'd rather draft a guy on a rookie deal who can play right away rather than sign a FA starter at great expense. Eluemenor is an exception. He made peanuts last year and graded out better than any OT we have.

WR - OBJ or trade for DHop. I like DHop best for the Pats. He is a plug and play machine.

He was so garbage when he was here though, I'd actually have to see it on the field to have my mind changed.
