Patriots Free Agency 2023

Mike Reiss reminds us of our worst nightmares.
He could have mentioned Adalius Thomas as a 4th.
Overall not bad considering 20 years at the helm, though.

Generally speaking, I can live with that Thomas signing as he was coming off a dominant All-Pro season from a team that has a great legacy of defensive play. To know they will occasionally swoop in to grab a Thomas, Roosevelt Colvin, Stephon Gillmore, et al - even Jonnu Smith - I will accept that occasional whiff vs. being too afraid to roll the dice.

Honestly, I'm curious if we see Damien Harris come back on a cheap deal or not, that would sort of tell me something in terms of what the locker room thinks about next year.

Gosh, maybe you're right. Haven't heard much about him lately

Ian Rapoport reporting Jonathan Jones back to NE on a 2-year deal.

Low cap hit this year.
Two years, $19M
$7.5M signing bonus
$13M total guarantees
$58,824 per game roster bonuses
Up to $500k in playing time incentives each year

Base salaries:

2023: $1.5M
2024: $8M
