Rep Bars?

Someone had to much time on there hands& couldn't sleep

I have seen my rep in year. I use the mobile app to post here

You do realize that (a) that mobile app, (b) the phone you use it on, (c) the software that runs this website, (d) the Internet itself, and (e) the network equipment you use to access the Internet were all invented by people who "had too much time on their hands and couldn't sleep" ... right?

sprocketboy, why don't you have any casino cash? Do you use it as soon as you get it? I thought everyone got $250 daily when logging on.

Guess I never really paid any attention to the rep bars.

Let's take yours, for example.

You have one bronze star, five dark green pips, and three light green pips.

The bronze star + the first dark green pip = 3000 points
The next four dark green + the first light green = 5 x 100 = 500 points
The next two light green = 2 x 200 = 400 points.

So, you have at least 3900 points. Since the next pip you would add would be light green, that would be 200 points later at 4100.

So, your point total should be somewhere between 3900 and 4099, inclusive.

It strikes me as hilariously ironic that the two Planet Citizens with the highest rep are "The First Lady" and "The Last Dude Anyone Would Ever Refer to as a Gentleman." :jester:

Piggy: I should have been more specific ... your next light green pip is worth 200 points, so your medals and pips at the time indicated that you were somewhere between 132,500 and 132,699, which is confirmed by the number you posted (132,650).

I was completely innocent and a perfect gentlewoman when I came here. The Pig corrupted me.

Prostitutes aren't cheap.

They can be. I was fairly tight with my cash back when I was turning tricks ...

I think I might have this figured out. You start out with one dark green pip just for joining. For every 100 points of rep, you add a dark green pip until you get your first light green pip (at 500 points). Each light green pip after that requires 200 points worth of rep, until you get your first amber pip (at 1500 points). Each amber pip after that requires 300 points of rep, until you get your first bronze star (at 3000 points), after which your pip bar is reset to one dark green pip. Five bronze stars = one silver star (15000 points). Five silver stars = one gold star (75000 points). If I have this correct, then as of this post, Piggy has just over 132,500 rep points, bideau has just over 43,100 rep points, and B/S/F has just over 15,500 rep points.

What is the probability that this is correct?

Embarrassed to say I knew a guy like Pesci in this scene and I swear he said "I will leave you where I find you" to a few idiots he 'helped'.

The shit you overheard bartending.

You should never assume that the inventor is the one who got rich from an invention. Like we say out here out West of the Mississippi, it's usually the case that "The Pioneers get the arrows, the Settlers get the land."

A canonical example of this would be the inventor of Frequency Modulation (FM) radio, Edwin Howard Armstrong, whose patent for the invention was effectively stolen by a big business interest (RCA), and who ended up so broken by the battle that he committed suicide.

I bet there are thousands of stories out there like Armstrong's.

Don't you worry, though ... the Geek Revolution is coming ... and those of you who are not Geeks will end up becoming the property of one.
