For a 2nd rounder. I don’t get it. Can someone explain? A 2nd rounder? Really? With Harry coming back they want another WR? And they give a 2nd for Sanu? I know Gordon’s production hasn’t been there, but I didn’t think he was looking THAT bad.

Rutgers guy, experienced, reliable, 6'2". Brady gets a new toy.

Yeah. Now that’s it’s settled in I’m not as shocked. He’s a good blocker. I’ve heard rumors about him to NE for years. His contract is probably manageable at this point. He’s a dependable vet, and a good red zone target. I guess it’s the 2nd rounder that got me. Probably better him than another failed corner experiment though.

Not sure how he fits under the cap.
He's been a reliable receiver. A 2nd seems high. Makes me wonder if the Gordon injury is worse than expected.

BB has been after Sanu since last year. A 2nd may be too high but he's had 3Xs the production of DThomas and 1.3Xs the production of Josh Gordon this year. He's very under rated, imo, he gets the tough yards, he's reliable and consistent. Sanu plays inside or outside. Great fit for this offense.

really kind of torn on this. would like to see Jakobi develop in this offense. I think this may put him inactive on gameday. unless Josh is really hurting. I thought he was done last week. At least now we don't have to rush him back.

Meh. Never had a 70 reception season, never more than 5 TDs.

Not worth a second rounder.

Maybe not but he's got the 4th most slot receiver yards since 2016, behind only JLandry, LFitzgerald and SShepard.

Think of him as a bigger tougher Amendola.

That is a very solid group. He’s won SBs with far less.

If only Wynn can return and be what we hope.

I'll bet almost anything the Falcons converted a lot of his salary into bonus money just prior to the trade at Pats' request to get that 2nd rnd pick. That would lower his salary for the Pats to fit under the cap. Win/Win.

Sanu is going to be a great addition, imo.

Yeah, the more I think about it the more I like it. If Sony gets to the second level I can see him throwing the block that busts a 70 yard TD run. He can beat the other teams third CB. Smart vet. Big red one target. This team has plenty of picks. Nice getting a guy with can contribute right now to what’s shaping up to be a historic season. My first reaction was wrong.

Makes me wonder about the health or status of Gordon even more. Last year didn't Gordon sit out a game and then was suspended. Sure how he hasn't relapsed again.

The only hesitation is the same with all WRs - can they grasp the Offense?

If yes, then I’m all for and all is great.

If no, well, we just pissed away a 2.

The Falcons use the same kind of variable route reads as the Pats. The only thing he has to do is learn where Brady wants him to be. That's not as difficult from the slot as it is from the outside. Give him 3 games to get up to reasonable speed and 5 games to really get cranking. I think many Pats fans are going to be shocked at Sanu's production in this offense.

If you liked DAmendola I think you'll love Sanu. I'm giddy thinking about it!

Forget the 2nd rnd pick. At least now we don't have to be concerned about some S we never heard of being the pick.

Lol!

Where to turn my angst now then?!?

For you to be this enthusiastic over the addition I knew there had to be a very good reason and that is. Basically guarantees he’ll be up to speed and soon.

I’m excited.

Love that move. A 6-2 physical receiver and he's only 30.

A lot of upside here and a Rutgers boy to boot. Good job Bill.

Imagine how excited Sanu is! He went to bed as a 1-6 Falcon and woke up as a 7-0 Patriot. Crazy.

Wasn’t Sanu the guy who was infamously talking shit about the game being over during that SB well before it was over? Lol
