SB LI adult beverages - NE style

Rest assured I will have plenty of Wachusett Bella Czech Pils ready to go a week from Sunday.

Also, I typically go to the local farm and buy their Egg Nog. We will definitely be loading that with Irish Mist, add some ice cream to the blender, and some nutmeg. Egg Nog Martinis Boom

Since the wife and I are both from NE and are both fans of rum (Capt Morgans) we've narrowed it down to 3.

I'm really leaning towards this one, it's called the Bay Breeze (uses Bacardi instead of Captn's) but I want to change the name, any ideas?

2 oz Capt Morgan's
1-1/2 oz Cranberry Juice<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>
1-1/2 oz Pineapple Juice<o:p></o:p>
Lime Wedge for Garnish<o:p></o:p>

Spiced rum or captain morgan parrot bay spiced rum?

an FYI for beer drinkers. Bog Iron Brewery is across the street from Wendell's in Norton.

Frank White, a member here and a friend of Babalu, is the man at Bog Iron. I suggest a day trip for some hot wigs followed by a couple pints of Bog Iron - or better yet try a sampler flight.

Brady's Revenge?
Tom's Beach Day?
Goodell's Nightmare?

I discovered Kentucky Bourbon Ale. While a bit pricey ($11/4 pack), it's outstanding.

trillium is in my town. I need to hit there some day next week after work for a tasting.

Friend of mine stood in line for a couple of growlers of their "Congress St. DDH (double dry-hopped) IPA" in Boston. The line, he reported, went around the block. Apparently the supply is limited and fans want to get it before it sells out.

I'd call it the best IPA I've ever tasted and I recommend you give it a try if you can find some to see if you agree.

In July I was at the Alaskan Brewing Co. in Juneau and got to talking to a guy that worked there and when he found out I was from the Boston area that's the first thing he asked me about. He was Jonesing to try some. He all but begged me to ship him a case, but I never got around to it due to the fact that I can't find it.

I'd describe it as extremely hoppy, but not harsh or overly bitter at all. Very clean tasting and medium bodied. It has piney/fruity/noticeably citrus taste and an almost sensimilla-like floral bouquet and packs a wallop at 7.2 ABV.

I should try to scare some up for the Bowl.

nothing but rave reviews of the place. I will go during the next month, maybe after work some day. I can also walk to Castle Island Brewery in Norwood from work.
