Gloucester, where I was born and raised is a beautiful seaside town, crawling wilth rosa rugosa wherever the terminal moraine that is Gloucester borders the ocean. We always chased down the hips for jam and tea. But mostly, they are just lovely. I do love them (and miss them a bit here in West Newbury). They are deemed invasive if I recall, but these "beach roses" are ok with me.This young rabbit smells the intense scent of an old fashioned rosa rugosa rose for the first time.
