The 2024 Draft

Sure Seemed like every available OT was drafted a round earlier than expected the last two days.

We just missed out on Suaamatia(sp) by about 5 picks, dam those Chiefs,
And oh by the way, Lazar claimed that Daniel Jeremiah had Suaamatia ranked at #120 (or higher)????

Wallace , does appear to a serious dude.
Yeah he seems to be. Wasn't there that stat that he stoned Aidan Hutchinson and only gave up 4 pressures the entire season last year. Yeah, that dude f-ing blows.

The WR group should at least be able to handle a few injuries this year. With 4 guys who are the same, plus pop and Thornton, who cares if a few miss time. lol next man up. I’d like to see more of Boute as well.
You know, this is the best spin on having 5 guys the same.

I've seen Wallace described as a "road grading blocker" more than once. That's great if we go with a heavy run game this year. On a positive note, that could open
the door for the return of an effective PA passing game. Baby steps.

Evan Lazar's best available for day 3. He does his best to find some reason for hope for Polk and Wallace in his intro. (Wallace at LG?)
Troy Franklin, Javon Baker or Brenden Rice would be home runs in my book if the Pats double dip at WR and go X this time with the 4th rnd pick.

Another Best Available list. This is from Jack Lichtenstein, a well known but low key draft specialist. This one is a consensus of 16 different draft boards.
X WRs Troy Franklin and Javon Baker are on his list (and mine) and lots of other positions with talent.

See if they draft a road grader TE???

Gotta build the lines man. Throw as many darts as you can. The actual left starting OT if they even end up needed one will come next year.
There are now 8 players on the roster listed as a guard.

Edit: Taylor-Demerson goes the very next pick, the best deep safety in the draft.

Layton Robinson OG Texas A&M.
Good pick I think. Seen him graded as a 2nd round, seen him rated as a 5th round pick. The team is addressing th OL problem.

Fits the Eliot mantra.
Draft and develop.
Yep, this isn't a one year fix. After FA I knew it wasn't and people need to relax. If it's a dumpster fire which I doubt it will be then there will be plenty to bitch about.

I thought Wallace projected to guard, so I think that makes 104 IOL on the roster. Apparently they believe strongly in Wheatley locking down the LT spot?
Wallace played RT in college and played it very well. He's not a guard, he CAN play guard but he is at the min a RT.

Hoping to get tougher on the Oline,,,,,

So...what about the RT we drafted yesterday? Or the one we're paying 19 million to for the next 3 years? To go with the 7 guards already on the roster?

Looks like the new staff is not happy with some of those exiting guards/ Olinemen.
And want more power..
